Frozen Shoulder: Investigating the problem
Physical examination
Mr. Cole will talk to you about the onset of your shoulder symptoms. He will examine your shoulder and examine your range of movement. There is normally a very characteristic restriction in movement and typically all movement in all directions is limited
X-ray
An x-ray can provide an excellent "picture" of bones and joints and will show if your shoulder has developed any bone changes. Often this is the only investigation that is needed. If the x ray is normal and the movement is restricted in a typical fashion the likely diagnosis is frozen shoulder.
